The new Mercedes‑AMG GLE 53 4MATIC+ and Mercedes‑AMG GLE 53 HYBRID 4MATIC+ are now available to order from sales partners or online. Thanks to the expressive visual update, the comprehensively enhanced 3.0-litre inline six-cylinder engine and the newly tuned suspension, the new models impress with even more assured performance and an even more emotive design. Entry-level prices for the Mercedes‑AMG GLE 53 4MATIC+ with 48-volt technology start at €120,047.201 for the SUV variant and at €126,372.051 for the Coupé. Prices for the Mercedes‑AMG GLE 53 HYBRID 4MATIC+ with long-range plug-in hybrid drive start at €128,781.801 (SUV) and €135,106.651 (Coupé).

Mercedes‑AMG GLE 53 4MATIC+ | fuel consumption combined: 11.1-10.4 l/100 km | CO₂ emissions combined: 252-238 g/km | CO₂ class: G2
Mercedes‑AMG GLE 53 HYBRID 4MATIC+ | fuel consumption weighted, combined: 4.2-3.8 l/100 km + 22.6-22.1 kWh/100 km | fuel consumption combined discharged battery: 10.9-10.4 l/100 km | CO₂ emissions weighted, combined: 96-86 g/km | CO₂ class weighted, combined: C-B | CO₂ class discharged battery: G2

Even more eager-revving and even more responsive: the 3.0-litre six-cylinder engine
At the heart of the new GLE 53 family is the enhanced 3.0-litre inline six-cylinder engine. A new cylinder head with improved inlet and outlet ducts, a new inlet camshaft, a new intake system and a new charge-air cooler noticeably improve responsiveness and eagerness to rev. The turbocharged engine produces 330 kW (449 hp) and delivers a maximum torque of 600 Nm.

In the 48-volt version, a second-generation integrated starter-generator (ISG) supports the engine. Its functions include short-term boosting with 17 kW (23 hp) of power and 205 Nm of torque, recuperation and the almost imperceptible restart of the engine in the start-stop function. Performance meets the highest expectations: the 48-volt version sprints from standstill to 100 km/h in just 4.9 seconds. Top speed is electronically limited to 250 km/h.

In the Mercedes‑AMG GLE 53 HYBRID 4MATIC+, the six-cylinder engine works together with an electric motor producing 135 kW (184 hp). The 400-volt plug-in hybrid enables sporty driving dynamics as well as locally emission-free mobility. The system output of 430 kW (585 hp) and maximum system torque of 750 Nm allow for impressive performance: the GLE 53 HYBRID 4MATIC+ accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.5 seconds – 0.2 seconds faster than before. Top speed: electronically limited to 250 km/h. Purely electric speeds of up to 140 km/h are possible. Thanks to the electric range of 88‑91 kilometres (SUV) and 90‑93 kilometres (Coupé) according to WLTP, customers can cover many everyday journeys using electric power alone.

New design, highly precise suspension

A hallmark of the new GLE 53 generation is the front end with its modified AMG specific radiator trim, newly designed air intakes and characteristic LED lighting. The rear also has an even more distinctive appearance, with newly shaped star-design tail lamps and the AMG specific exhaust system with twin tailpipe trim elements.

The standard equipment of the new GLE 53 models includes the AMG RIDE CONTROL+ air suspension with adaptive adjustable damping. It offers a balanced combination of exceptional comfort and AMG-typical driving dynamics. For the 48-volt version, the AMG ACTIVE RIDE CONTROL suspension with active roll stabilisation is available as an option. The newly developed ESP® system now offers even more precise control strategies and works closely with the fully variable AMG Performance 4MATIC+ all-wheel drive. Variable torque distribution ensures optimum traction in every driving situation.

2 The specified values were determined in accordance with the prescribed measurement procedure WLTP (Worldwide harmonised Light-duty vehicles Test Procedures).
