There's one here which covers all bases. It's stunning to look at, it's extremely well put together with nice materials, it's quick, it handle better than almost all the others and it's remarkably well priced for what you get.

The car is question is the Scirocco R, end of story.

Golf R all the way + spacious and practical.
Golf is the worlds best allrounder IMO.

You should know that I am a huge AWD fan but while I would place the Golf R second on that list because it ticks every box except being special looking, that is why I give the Scirocco the nod.

I might be driving a Scirroco R in a month. Let's see if I fancy it more than the Golf.

I must add that the service at VW is good. The Golf R I drove belong to a worker at VW. He said that normally he doesn't let people drive his car but he was nice to do an exception for me (or perhaps it was my big mouth that saved me ;)). Kudos to VAG (him). (

Just_Me,

Let me say that I think you will come away from this experience with a new found appreciation for fwd, this thing feels alive. But make sure it's a DSG version because it will lose traction easily between shifts otherwise.

P.S.
Regarding the Golf R, it's far superior to the S3, much better handling in my opinion and yet it still rides like a proper mid sized saloon. If only they gave this car the engine from the TT-RS.

Oh wait, the RS3 will do that.
