The process of unveiling the BMW i8 is taking too long, but we are now pleased to inform you that this painful procedure will end on September 10, at BMW's stand in this year's Frankfurt International Motor Show. Once again, BMW chose to slowly show parts of the car using various online media and social networks, constantly teasing BMW fans and enthusiasts. We all hate this, but truth to be told, this tactic fuels enthusiasm and increases anticipation.

Alongside the production version of the i8 will be the production i3, the brand's revolutionary electric city car. BMW's stand will also feature the third generation X5, including the just announced X5 M50d and eDrive models, plus the 4 series coupe in all its glory. Finally, the Concept Active Tourer Outdoor will also be displayed, previewing the upcoming 1 series GT model.

You can find BMW's latest i8 teasing video and press release after the jump.
