Thanks for the info. Who conducted this "test"? Was it an independent magazine? Did the Performance package car they tested have the BMW power upgrade for the engine?
Eventually, I may consider adding the Performance front brake rotors, and Performance sport suspension, and the upcoming Power enhancement.

Autobild did this test. One of the biggest carmagazines in Germany.
Both cars with 306hp, none of them had a engine upgrade.

Did they list what the performance package stuff the white car has and how much it costs?
1.5 secs is nothing to scoff at. Also you could forgo the showy bits like the cf trim pieces and the steering wheel etc and just get the real performance bits. Wonder how a 335 with the performance bits and the engine package would match up to S4.

The tested car had every single part from the performance package, including wheels and exterior changes = 20.000 Euro (in Sweden you can buy a brand new Yamaha R1 or a small car for 20.000 Euro
)If I was in the market for PP, my parts would only be suspension, exhaust, gearbox and the seats if did a lot track driving. Laptimer on the steering wheel and pedals in aluminium is a little bit overkill to me. The good part with PP is that you can customize your car the way you like it.

Yea, I just looked at the list here BMW Accessories - Vehicle Selection. Most of the stuff is just cosmetic stuff. The real go fast bits is the suspension ($1167), short shift kit ($576), exhausts($1095) and sports brakes ($2450).
I think most of the lap time improvement is probably just from the suspension.
There is also those wheels for 4k or something which is stupid.
