Vs TeknikensVärld: Audi A4 2.0TDI vs BMW 320d vs MB C220CDI

I have this magazine at home. What surprise me is that they thought the 3er had the best interior materials and felt more well-built than the competition. They also mention that the previous A4 felt more well built than the new A4.

They also said the Benz would probably have won if it wasnt so freaking expensive and they end the comparison by saying that all three are good cars and you will be happy with the car no matter what you buy. They all have high standard.

^^^ I have read in a few reviews that the BMW 3 series if better built and with better materials then the competition... If only it wasnt so uninspiring... It needs a more luxury look to go with the quality

hi i have used the 3 er and new c and there is no way the material and fit is better than the new c ....maybe some dont like the design of the new c interior which is a pesonel preference ,,but the quality off the new c and build is in my opinion better then the 3er,,,

The C looks like a S-Class in that pic, nice.

We all have different opinions, thats the beauty with cartests, we do not have to take their words for it. We can decide on our own.

Exactly Fortuner... whoever thinks the 3-er interior is better built and has better materials then the C is smoking something serious!

The C's interior is rather superb in person!

or maybe whoever it is havent looked with open eyes ;)

I can say the interior is nice but not superb in person and I aint smoking :D

Its no secret that the press have complained on the interior in C-class saying its not the usually Mercedes standard. Same thing seem to happen to the new A4 (and A5).

Sounds to me the carmakers are starting to save cash and for instance starting to use "cheaper" materials for the interiors. :t-hands: BMW started it but seem improve the interior with their Facelifts instead.

I have also read that interior quality is below the BMW's

Wheels carmagazine and being an Australian MAG they normally bash german cars and never normally make things up - cept when saying australian cars are better :D

From WhatCar comparo:
"These cars exude a feeling of quality, and achieving the desired effect takes more than just a badge. Neither the Audi nor BMW have any trouble. Both feel like they’ve been built with real care and attention, from materials that look and feel expensive. The finish is flawless and the switchgear is precise and solid, which helps both cars feel even more sophisticated.By comparison, the Merc’s cabin is disappointing. There’s plenty of soft-touch plastic on the dash, and the overall feel is solid, but there’s not the same kind of
attention to detail. Some of the plastics are too hard and shiny, and fit should be better. It simply doesn’t feel as special as its German rivals here."

AutoExpress group test:
"The dash layout is clear, simple and modern, while the design is appealing. But the C220 doesn’t have the same solid feel as the 3-Series or A4, and in terms of quality and materials is closer to the B-Class hatch than the E-Class executive. Given that it costs close to £30,000, it doesn’t feel special enough."
On the 3-Series:
"And although our car was fitted with £995 Dakota leather, even without this, the BMW’s cabin comes across as being a little better thought out and more solidly built than the C-Class’s."

In edmunds.com's group test, they were kind about the C-Class's interior, but specific ratings for the interior showed the 3-Series ahead:
"Interior materials
335i: 8.6 (1st)
C350: 7.4 (tied for last)"

Car & Driver group test:
"Mercedes C300 Sport
Lows:
...unimpressive interior materials.

Fit and finish
BMW 328i: 9/10
MB C300: 7/10"

Haven't driven either, but have sat in both of these cars. I'd say if the MB can be rated superb then so can the BMW (and then some). One needs to remember that these are relative assessments. The C-Class certainly has a nice enough interior, but that doesn't preclude others from being rated higher.

The A4 is such a beautiful car. In every new magazine you read last 2 weeks, all are about the new A4 and how good it is. Great job Audi! Bring on the S and RS!

well someone did a search..and found some results..
thnx..

^u love it:D
enjoy the few times you are right..haha
