Some say that he shaves with a chainsaw, and that he can climb the Eiffel Tower using just his lips. All we know is, he's called The Stig, and on this Sunday's episode of Top Gear he'll be racing F1 rookie sensation Lewis Hamilton on the Top Gear test track. Hamilton, fresh off his second-place finish in the 2007 F1 series, sits down with Jeremy Clarkson for some witty English banter before heading out to a soggy Top Gear test track to do battle with the Stig in his tool of speed: a Suzuki Liana, otherwise known as the Aerio in our part of the world. Hamilton needs to beat the Stig's top time of 1:44.40 seconds, but it sounds like the weather and some errant oil spilled from Clarkson's VXR8 earlier in the day may spoil his plans. If you can watch current episodes of Top Gear on BBW Two, well, we hate you. The rest of us will be waiting for the episode to hit Finalgear, or perhaps putting it out of our minds until next year when they replay it in the U.S.

Now, this will definitely be interesting to watch.(y)

:t-cheers:

Forget F1, those cars are perfect. This is going to be the real test for Hamilton, can't wait to see how good he is with a normal car.

I just watched the show and Hamilton came through and totally relaxed while driving it. Too bad the track was wet and oily.

It was nice to see him in a little more normal and relaxed environment, he acted like your average 22 years old guy, not any different from my friends.

Clarkson: What's your everyday car?
Lewis: You know what I drive a GL500...oh....GL420.
Clarkson: What?
Lewis: it's a diesel .It's a pimpwagen, you can fit 24inch rims and just layin back and drive....it's what you need on the road...

He stumbled a little when telling which car he drives, probably didn't rehears enough:D . The GL420 can't be his primary car, MB told him exactly to say in order to boost the GL-class sales and give it a hip image. I'm surprised he didn't say he rolls around in a 320 CDI.
