From swissmiss: Working with designer Jakub Berdych under the Qubus Studio banner, the interior of St. Bartholomew’s Church features Verner Panton chairs customised with a punched crucifix, Persian rugs and chandeliers of rough-cut crystal.

The chairs look nice but please tell me that it is still under construction.

It was my great fortune to visit St. Bartholomew October this year (2013).

The true genius of Maxim Velocvsky and Qubus design is that the building is not going to be restored in a traditional way. Instead mulitple historical stages of the structure and laid bare and visible. The Patton chairs lend fluid movement and quiet dignity; the oriental rugs add warmth and texture; the undressed crystals pay homage to Bohemian resources and crafts. The journey I took from Prague to Chodovice by streetcar, underground and three busses only added to the drama and adventure of my voyage and pilgrimage to this place. leQuita Vance-Watkins
