911 Spy Shots: 2009 Porsche 911 Turbo facelift

Porsche is updating the 911 Turbo for the 2009 model-year in line with the sport carmaker’s usual practice of changing its models roughly every three to four years. It will be hard to spot the difference between the new and the old as these latest spy images show because most of the changes will be under the sheet-metal.

The facelifted model is expected to get an extra 20hp (15kW) to give it an edge over the new Nissan GT-R and return its supremacy at the Nurburgring. The bump in power is courtesy of a new direct-injection system, which is also expected to improve fuel economy.
Visually, the car is being enhanced with larger front air intakes and new fog-lights in the front bumper, giving a more aggressive look. At the rear are a new set of LED taillights and a new diffuser similar to that on the new GT3.

I'll take my turbo just like that, Black with black wheels. I guess I'm one of the very few on this forum who'd take this Turbo over a GT2/3 any day.

Rear lights look much nicer although the front bumper still looks fussy.
