CLK-Class (C209) Sportauto drove CLK-DTM Cabrio

The Mercedes-Benz C209 is the second generation CLK-Class, launched in 2002. The car was available in both hardtop coupé (C209) and in soft-top convertible (A209). Although its design and styling was derived from the E-Class, the mechanical underpinnings were based on the smaller C-Class. It was succeeded by the E-Class C207. Production: 2001–2009.

Sportauto said its not a sportcar like the Coupé. Topspeed limited to 300km/h for the Cabrio version.

Give me the one without Cabrio. I love the one with roof

I don't understand why MB made a cabrio version of this car, it's meant to be a hardcore race car, not one for looking good in!

It's a bit like BMW making an M3 CSL cabrio, just doesn't work! These cars must be fixed coupes because that is what makes them most rigid!

Lol, they made a CLK-GTR roadster too, which was basically a road-legal racecar. I don't know why they did.

money money, all 100 CLK-DTM Cabrios have been sold. I bet MB earn something on this.

Agreed!

:t-cheers:

the laptime for the Cabrio isnt that great, slower than M6 and other porsches. The coupe is better prepared for the track.

I really couldn't care less for the cab, the coupe is definitely my choice.

I sure they didn't make that much money, all the engineering that went into this car, and only 100 are being made!
