A4/S4/RS4 Sportauto: Audi RS4 at Nordschliefe

Hey guys.

Have you thought that this car beat cars like:

BMW M6
Ferrari 360M
Mercedes SL 55
Aston Martin V8 Vantage
BMW M5 E60
Viper SRT-10
Mercedes SL 65
Corvette C6

That is AMAZING.

Think...this is a stock 4 door saloon. Imagine what Audi can do with a Sportscar (R8) or a Coupé (S5/RS5)...Ooooh...this looks really good!

yes its a good time but they should still also test a Rs4 without extra options such as ceramic brakes and sportchassi, it would defintley loose some seconds without these extra options. It would be very intresting to see the differences.

PS M6 also did it in 8.09 min but was one second faster around Hockenheim than Rs4.

As usual, always an explanation that the car was that fast...haha

Not an explanation just being logical, think about it for a while and you will understand why it should be intresting to test two different versions. Sportauto has done suchs things before with other cars, why should it be different with Rs4 :t-hands:

If you seen the threads were we predticted the laptime for Rs4, I said it would be faster than a M5 and obviosly I was correct so Im not surprised about the Rs4.

Nice to see that the RS4 really came through. It is no suprise that it did wheel around the track. I would be a dream to drive the beast.:)

Audi made an amazing car.

Now let's hope that my info about RS6 are correct and it gets a 5.5 lt V10 with 550 hp.:t-woohoo:

I think he has a point. They are options which a car enthiusiast who plans on tracking this car would take. Its like saying the porsches that get tested should be done without theyre brembo brakes.

If it was a sports car they would have been standard parts, but because not everyone will race theyre RS4 they are not required, so audi could keep price down.

Im not talking about points, this is extra options and sometimes Sportauto test two different versions, one version without things you need to pay extra for to get, not everyone is going to choose sportchassi or ceramic brakes so it would be intresting to see the differences in laptimes. Is that really so hard to understand? If I was an huge Audi-fan I would love to see it be done, it doenst matter if its a MB or a BMW. It a shame they didnt test two versions. End of story.

Audi

Audi AG is a German automotive manufacturer of luxury vehicles headquartered in Ingolstadt, Bavaria, Germany. A subsidiary of the Volkswagen Group, the company’s origins date back to the early 20th century and the initial enterprises (Horch and the Audiwerke) founded by engineer August Horch (1868–1951). Two other manufacturers (DKW and Wanderer) also contributed to the foundation of Auto Union in 1932. The modern Audi era began in the 1960s, when Volkswagen acquired Auto Union from Daimler-Benz, and merged it with NSU Motorenwerke in 1969.
