Strange they improved the laptime of the Lambo with a full second before they last tested it...
They managed the relatively "poor" time of 1.09,3 min at very hot conditions (29 Degrees C air- and 41 Degrees C asphalt-temperature). This was probably a colder testday, we'll see. :)

Or... This car had the Trofeo R tires. Which are diabolically good (i.e. Camaro Z/28 Nürburgring time)...

Few notes from the test

Lambo:
  • This testcar lacks the optional front-lift system, therefore it's 57 kgs lighter than the previous one they've tested.
  • Launch Control starts from 5000 rpm.
  • This time they tested the car with the performance-position of the rear wing, that's why it's 2 seconds slower up to 300.
  • 1,1 s faster laptime thanks to the even more hardcore tyres (P Zero Trofeo R instead of P Zero Corsa) and more downforce.
  • Extremely powerful brakes, but ABS-setup is not optimal on short ground faults.
Porsche:
  • Launch Control starts from 5600 rpm. 0-40 km/h in 1 second with an average acceleration of 1,13 g.
  • 0-300 km/h in 31 seconds, only 2,4 s behind the mighty GT2 RS.
  • Mild oversteer at in-corner brakings.
  • High suspension comfort, powerful brakes.

Not necessarily, Pilot Sport Cup 2 is very hardcore as well ... :)

Indeed it is. Together with the Trofeo R they are the next generation of high performance tires, it seems. However, the Porsche used the Dunlop Sport Maxx Race ...

Yeah, I meant Dunlop - the GT3 in the Supertest had PS Cup 2. Too many Porsches in one magazine. :D

3250 lbs for the Lambo? Good job! That's almost as light as the MP4-12C without a CF tub, with a V10 and AWD! I can't wait to see what the replacement will do! :)

On Friday: Sport Auto Supertest of the 911 Turbo S.

Let's see how fast it is in the hands of Uncle Horst. :D
