very nice.
i like the new taillights i think it looks better than before i also like the splitview it would be useful in long journeys. :t-drive:

A stripped out S-Class? Hehe. Never thought I would see that.

The engine seem future proof for the next 3-4 years as oppossed to the interim NA 6.3 powerplant. However, I do find the timing rather poor considering that Mercedes are currently launching the SLS. Buyers of the car can't be too happy about the top of line Mer sportscar not featuring the latest engine. On the other hand, the SLS has a NA like the big boys and, and the engine may suit the car better than this torque monster.

I like it that they seem to be going with different engines for different purposes/cars. The sportier cars like the C, E, SLS should keep the n/a engine IMO. The CLS, S, CL/S-Coupe, ML should get the new turbo engine which has much more torque. The G55 should forever keep the old supercharged 5.5 motor. Complete retro riot.

But with AWD and all that weight, G55 is probably the best candidate to make use all those 900NM of torque.

True, but it isn't lacking for torque now and the old-fashioned supercharged engine just suites the nature of the truck better IMO.

True. The E-Class with that engine will probably make the car king of wheel spin.
