---------------------------
How I arrived at M4 figures.
Power: 450 is a nice rounded number, 30 PS increase is relatively small, highlighting focus on lightweight, but still an appreciable advancement.
Torque: The new Alpina B3 produces 442 lb/ft. The M5 produces 36 lb/ft less than the B5. (502 vs 538.) If the M4 produces a similar percentage of the Alpina's power as the M5 does the B5's, then ~415 lb/ft seems likely.
Economy and emissions: economy is based on on M5's figure + around 5 MPG, calculated guess, emmisions is middle ground between the Porsche and Audi.
Weight: When asked in an interview whether M4 is lighter than 435i, Friedrich Nitschke repsonds, "Absolutely." 435i manual DIN=1,510 KG. Reasonable deduction, thus, of 15KG, M4 manual DIN = 1495 KG, same as E46 M3. + 75 KG for EC = 1570 KG. + 20 KG for M-DCT ( same weight gain as respective E92 variants ) = 1,590 KG.
*** Unsure whether this is DIN or EC.
