A short documentary produced by BMW, on the six generations of BMW 3 series, possibly the most important model in BMW's line-up. Debuting in 1975, the first generation of 3er codenamed E21, was a groundbraking 2-door sedan, in its era. Good built quality, nice looks and striking driving dynamics guaranteed its success. The same recipe was followed with its successor the E30 in 1983, now availiable in 2-door coupe, 4-door sedan, touring and cabrio form. The most notable variant of the E30 series, is of course the E30 M3, a car worshiped by every BMW fan. A major design update brought us the E36 3 series in 1991, followed by the E46 in 1998 and the E90 in 2004. Now, in its sixth generation, the F30, BMW's 3 series continues with the same successful combination of great driving dynamics and every day usability that keep it at the top of its segment since 1975.
