If there's anywhere in the world where they know how to gild a lily, it's the Persian Gulf. The oil-rich emirates there seem to have an endless appetite for items of, shall we say... questionable taste. And Rolls-Royce seems to have no qualms about milking the region's appetite for all it's worth.

Along with the gold-dipped Drophead Coupe and the series of special editions exclusively for the Gulf, Rolls-Royce has crafted another special Phantom for the land where oil flows like water. Called the Yas Eagle, this special was actually released a few months ago to coincide with the inaugural Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, but details have only made their way onto the Intertubes now.

The package can be ordered on any of the three bodystyles in the Phantom range: sedan, coupe and DHC convertible. It consists of a two-tone white and cobalt blue paint scheme (think the original Viper GTS coupe, sans attitude), an interior done up in blue and red leather (with matching top for the Drophead Coupe), special blue-stained ash veneers, white instrument dials, blue carpets, a checkerboard stripe running down the waistline and across the fascia, an illuminated hood ornament and oh, so much more.

lol I think I need my eyes checked. Tasteless. Unless I am really bored from my classy colored other phantoms :D

HRH Sheikh Galifa Bin Zayed Al Nayan & kie has some taste...:)

Sayyaaf, they should get you to order their cars - your mates on this forum will assist in the "build the ultimate RR for HRH" :D

:t-crazy2:

I'd forbid that!

Btw, the cars look like police force vehicles in that white-blue painting. :D

lol Sheikh Khalifa currently uses Maybach as an official car, but he loves RR. He like light blue judging from his latest purchases. But I am not sure from where RR got that kind of inspiration for "abu dhabi edition" lol.

BMW Motorsport colors. :usa7uh:
BMW Sauber F1 2009 car.
The edition is called "Yas Eagle" ... Yas = Abu Dhabi track, and it's dedicated to the 1st Abu Dhabi Grand Prix (2009) - the car was shown there (the coupe) as a bespoke promo car - even with crystal LED illuminated Emily. :D
And since quite some customers expressed a desire to own such car RR is now delivering it as special edition. :t-cheers:

Although it looks horrible IMO. :D:t-banghea

The interior is horrible looking. Absolutely no taste whatsoever! The exterior is almost standard, but the color combo/pattern is not so nice

WOW....Rolls is doing something it rarely does...produce tacky, ugly, dubious-taste cars. Who the hell would want to drive around in that? A person who doesn't know what good taste is, but has plenty of blind money.

M

Money can buy about everything, however, taste is one of those things it can't even borrow! Sorry, but that blue is indigestible for me! :eusa_snoo
