Envisioned as a Miata rival
Seat intern David Cava has envisioned the Roadster concept which would act as a competitor for the new Mazda MX-5.

In the second half of this year, David Cava was an intern at Seat and during his stay he developed a roadster concept "designed with character and fun to drive in mind." It would act as a competitor for the Miata but with a more dynamic design and carbon fiber body parts. It also has a special windshield "that flows from the bonnet" while at the back there's a prominent rear diffuser with a trapezoidal exhaust pipe in the middle.

David Cava envisioned the Seat Roadster concept with a hybrid powertrain that mixes up a 200 bhp (149 kW) 1.4 TSI with an electric motor to provide a combined output of more than 240 bhp (179 kW). The vehicle has a 50:50 weight distribution and tips the scales at less than 960 kg (2,130 lbs).
