Got the chance to try out the Note 8 yesterday, the overall size of the phone and the screen feels very similar to the S8+. There are so many things and customization you can do with the S pen, it seems to have too much going on.

Personally I think it's a con that the S8+ doesn't get a dual camera. It's a desirable feature that shouldn't force customers into buying the biggest phone with a stylus that might not be desired. However, it's impressive how big of a fan base the Note has.

Mine arrives this Wednesday and today had a chance to check it for a minute in store. The looks and feel in the hand only are enough for me. My wife will be happy with S8+, those were 4 nice months, time to change it now...

Mine arrives this Wednesday and today had a chance to check it for a minute in store. The looks and feel in the hand only are enough for me. My wife will be happy with S8+, those were 4 nice months, time to change it now...

Hahaha, wife got hers last week as she was given priority shipping for being a Note 7 owner. Mine should be arriving fairly soon, so I'll be glad to say bye bye bye to my S5 (I too was going to get the Note 7, but decided to hold off for Christmas deals, ...battery fiasco happened).

Even though the S8+ is currently priced cheaper, as we pre-ordered the Note8, we got a 128gb memory card, and wireless charging pad included, so those two things make up the price difference to the S8+. I plan to keep this phone for a while now rather than upgrading every 2 years. Looking forward to the photo quality when snapping pics of our twin girls when they arrive in a matter of weeks!

I think about 2 years is the time limit on the newer phones with a non replaceable battery. An above average user is going to see the battery life deminish more than average after about a year and a half.
