R8 [Rumors] Audi R8 Green Hell

The Audi R8 is a mid-engine, 2-seater sports car, which uses Audi's trademark quattro permanent all-wheel drive system. It was introduced by the German car manufacturer Audi AG in 2006. Production ended in the first quarter of 2024. Production: June 2006 – March 2024 (45,949 Units), Model years: 2007–2024
R8 GT style edition? A performance version has been long overdue for the current R8. Huracan has nearly 2 by now, Performante and STO.

Or another one of the "performance parts" editions...

Rumoured as the "farewell" tribute to the R8 before the model line is retired. The R8s' successor ("successor" in a broader sense of the term), will almost certainly be a 2 door, 2 seat BEV based on a modified "J1" electric platform. It remains to be disclosed as to whether Audi will embark upon the "thoroughbred super/hypercar" route with an architecture similar to that of, for example, the Rimac 2-or rather take a 2 door GT approach (which would amount to something not unsimilar to a 2 door eTron GT coupe).

Audi

Audi AG is a German automotive manufacturer of luxury vehicles headquartered in Ingolstadt, Bavaria, Germany. A subsidiary of the Volkswagen Group, the company’s origins date back to the early 20th century and the initial enterprises (Horch and the Audiwerke) founded by engineer August Horch (1868–1951). Two other manufacturers (DKW and Wanderer) also contributed to the foundation of Auto Union in 1932. The modern Audi era began in the 1960s, when Volkswagen acquired Auto Union from Daimler-Benz, and merged it with NSU Motorenwerke in 1969.
