R8 R8 official teaser

The Audi R8 is a mid-engine, 2-seater sports car, which uses Audi's trademark quattro permanent all-wheel drive system. It was introduced by the German car manufacturer Audi AG in 2006. Production ended in the first quarter of 2024. Production: June 2006 – March 2024 (45,949 Units), Model years: 2007–2024
Note that you could see some things here. This is the final version the "drew" there. So the lamps are going to have this "a4 b7" form - cool. Also the rings will be above the grille - cool :) And the wheels seem to be the S8 wheels - cool :)

This is going to be the hottest car at Paris no doubt.

BMW and Mercedes are going to be kicking themselves for not having a true sports car in their model ranges. Mercedes for making the SLR an unobtainable "Super GT" and BMW for not having anything like it at all.

They'll have to, you know how German car companies are. Once one enters a niche they all follow, especially if the first one in is a success. BMW will either build their own or they'll buy Aston-Martin.

Audi

Audi AG is a German automotive manufacturer of luxury vehicles headquartered in Ingolstadt, Bavaria, Germany. A subsidiary of the Volkswagen Group, the company’s origins date back to the early 20th century and the initial enterprises (Horch and the Audiwerke) founded by engineer August Horch (1868–1951). Two other manufacturers (DKW and Wanderer) also contributed to the foundation of Auto Union in 1932. The modern Audi era began in the 1960s, when Volkswagen acquired Auto Union from Daimler-Benz, and merged it with NSU Motorenwerke in 1969.
