Most of the time Palin was just reciting the talking points instead of answering the questions.

Only poll I have seen (they say over 1 million votes) 86% Palin won, 12 Biden won.

You poor thing. :D

I guess that poll "really" was representative. :usa7uh:

I watched the debate, and I wasn't impressed by either.

Biden was making same mistake all over again too many times: not looking directly into the camera when answering (Palin did!) and talking too much like a cliche politician ("Washington-talk"). Also the tone when talking negative about McCain was a bit to repulsive.

Palin on the other hand acted too rookie for a national league politician. She acts like all this campaign is a play, and she is a main star. Someone please told her she isn't. She is a VP candidate, not a P candidate. And wanting something doesn't qualifies your for that (also very much true for almost all Superidols & Supermodels candidates :D).
Also: I was annoyed by Palin's shifting to her "by heart" talk about maverick, energy & Alaska, "I'm the one of you" everytime she wasn't able to answer a question directly (due the lack of knowledge / insight).

Biden proved he is more than VP ready, and a good backup to Obama.
Palin proved McCain-Palin ticket is alive & kicking (althoug McCain looks almost dead already).

I though Obama was a populist, but Palin is even bigger. She's a master of populistic talk. And I just hate populistic politicians - since they engage simple masses who don't have a clue what the real politics is about. They just fall for the sweet talk. Very dangerous situation! Believe me ... Tine knows the tools & mothods for mass manipulation. The line is very thin ... one step to far, and the thing is out of control.

PS: Palin did a huge mistake IMO when she supported constitutional right of nondiscrimination of gays & lesbians. And saying she is tolerant, and accepting "freedom of choice" when comes to relationships / sexual life(style). And don't think that will resonate well among the Evengelicals.

Joe Cool won...no question in my mind.
I think people have had it with lite-weight politicians...isn't she just the other side of the same coin GWB is minted on?
I want leadership, statesmanship and an evenhandedness.

Joe Biden was real....Palin seemed shallow and artificial. Maybe she didn't have that meltdown moment similar to her interview with Katie Couric, but that chirpy, "Ya, gosh darn it, bless you, you betcha," was so insincere, so contrived. We are talking about assuming the Vice-President's office of the United States of America....this isn't a vote for Miss Congeniality of your high school class.

This election's choices are so simple- I've never seen such a difference in quality and substance in the 20 or so years I've voted.
