I have a Smart Forfour 1.1 2006. The problem is that when starting, the power steering does not start working immediately. You have to turn the steering wheel in both directions before the power steering works. It wakes up faster in cold weather than in warm weather.
Has anyone else had the same problems? What has helped? I have bought a new battery, power steering control unit (the one under the glove box). But the problems persist, please help me.
