We've known for some time that Porsche is planning at least one world premiere for the 2011 Los Angeles Auto Show that kicks in on Wednesday, November 16; we just didn’t know what, up until now, that is.

Today we learned that one of the new Porsche models that will break cover in LA is a fresh addition to the Panamera sports saloon lineup.

The German sports car firm believes that there's a power gap between the Panamera S and the Turbo models so they came up with the same solution as they did with the Cayenne: they created a GTS model.

The new Panamera GTS will pack an upgraded version of the S model's naturally aspirated 4.8-liter delivering around 30HP more for a total of 430HP, while it will also feature some bits and pieces from the Turbo model such as aero components and a lowered air suspension.

For full details and first pictures, visit us tomorrow, as we'll be covering all the news from the LA Auto Show

I was told about this one on a recent Panamera test drive. Can't wait to see how of the info the salesman had right, he said:

430hp, 110-112K price, leather/alcantara seats, exclusive bodykit standard, new wheel designs....not really anything we couldn't have guessed from the Cayenne GTS.

One more day and we'll see............

This will be hot.

Edit: Ooohh. Wait a second, are those flat black rocker panels I see? Ford just re-learned (with the 2010 Mustang facelift) how those 90's design elements just never did, nor never will look good (and the 2013 Mustang has now painted them).

Oh trust me to paint them will be a Porsche ala-cart option, as is everything else is on a Porsche.

^ I am surprised too sunny. But I guess AWD is the only way to achieve those 0-60 numbers. I bet if S was geared right, it will beat a 4S 0-200 having the weight advantage.

I like it alot..enough power and the looks of the turbo..

But the black rocker panels are just a damn shame!!!

I cannot believe they are able to squeeze more juice out of that engine. Impressive work. Does this mean that the output of the GTS will be the output of the next generation Panamera S or will Porsche bow to the awesomeness of the V8 powering the Audi S8 and adopt it? This car probably marks the start of the unlimited number of Panamera limited editions Porsche will be gushing out.
