Porsche has introduced the Cayenne Platinum Edition.

Designed to combine style and exclusively, the special edition comes nicely equipped with bi-xenon headlights, privacy glass and 19-inch Cayenne Design II wheels with colored Porsche crests. The model features a Platinum Silver Metallic exterior but Black, White, Meteor Grey Metallic, Basalt Black Metallic, Mahogany Metallic and Carrara White Metallic are available upon request.

The two-tone interior boasts partial leather seats, a SportDesign steering wheel and a Porsche Communication Management (PCM) system with GPS navigation. The model has also been equipped with anti-dazzle interior mirrors, special floor mats and "Platinum Edition" sill plates. Other highlights include ParkAssist and a Power Steering Plus system.

The Cayenne Platinum Edition has a 3.6-liter V6 petrol engine that develops 300 HP (220 kW) and 400 Nm (295 lb-ft) of torque. The company will also offer a Cayenne Diesel Platinum Edition with a 3.0-liter V6 diesel engine that produces 245 HP (180 kW) and 550 Nm (368 lb-ft) of torque.

The special edition will go on sale in January and German pricing starts at €66,379 for the Cayenne Platinum Edition and €67,212 for the Cayenne Diesel Platinum Edition.

The 2014 Porsche Cayenne Platinum Edition was unveiled at the ongoing Detroit Auto Show. In the Cayenne Platinum Edition, Porsche has made some of the most requested options as standard fitment.
The standard equipment available on the Cayenne Platinum Edition include the eight-speed Tiptronic S transmission, power steering plus, park assist at front and rear, the convenience package and Bose audio package.
The convenience package includes the Porsche Communication Management (PCM) system that features a high-resolution seven-inch touchscreen navigation, Bi-Xenon headlights with Porsche Dynamic Light System (PDLS), driver memory package seats, a moonroof, heated front seats and auto dimming mirrors.
The 2014 Porsche Cayenne Platinum Edition is powered by a 3.6-liter V6 that produces 300 hp and a peak torque of 400 Nm. The Cayenne Diesel Platinum Edition is powered by a 3.0-liter V6 turbo diesel that produces 240 hp.Prices for the Cayenne Platinum start at $69,999 (Rs 43,09,138), excluding destination charges. The vehicle is available on the U.S. market starting this month.
