I'd give it AWD and a turbo while we're at it

And PDK only.
You can be such a grinch sometimes. Butt-hurting pricing aside, Porsche already gives so much choice for 911. You want high-revving NA + RWD + manual - go on, you're a few clicks away from ordering your GT3 Touring. Then there's a 911 Turbo S and everything in between. Except a GT3 cabrio.

Some people like the idea of an open-top GT3 - it's also not a new idea either - and if you don't then what are you complaining about.

Frankenstein car. Looks weird. However it will be cheaper and more accessible than a speedster.

That goes against the spirit of GT3. As a car enthusiast, I can't accept that.
I don’t agree with that; to me, the idea of a GT3 Sport Cabriolet makes perfect sense… A manual gearbox, a naturally aspirated engine revving to 9,000 rpm and the agility of a 992 GT3 – that sounds like the perfect combination for a road-going Porsche. Must be amazing to drive.

I don't think anyone needs the agility of a GT3 while cruising along the beach. Convertibles aren't suitable for the track. It jeopardizes the reputation of the Porsche 911. There's no need for this much model variety. What's next? A GT2 RS convertible?

I don't see it that way at all, but hey, everyone's entitled to their own opinion.

Ugly and stupid. But then again I hate every 911 hunchback cabriolet. Fugly since the 996.

I'd rather have seen a Targa Turbo S if they were to create something silly.

Sorry Martin. I'm out of here. This should have been a Speedster.

Worse, a GT3 RS with f#cking turbos.

Porsche has utterly lost it IMO.

I didn't tell you to change your mind, did I?
And I didn't say you told me... I don't see what you're getting at. You posted your opinion and I don’t agree with you, so I replied; that’s all there is to it.

Maybe I’m old, but this one doesn’t sit right with me. Trying to convince myself that is isn’t another Porsche $300k+ money grab, and that a lot of market research and client feedback actually went into this the fruition of this variant. It will sell nonetheless, so I’m also a grinch (for now).
