It seems to me that the Porsche driver stepped on the gas first without doubt. At this level, it's hard for the Ferrari to pull it back unless it's a much faster car, which it clearly isn't....

Yes ffforever i agree with you but speciale is not faster than turbo S...and turbo S is not faster than 997 gt2 rs....its strange!

German engineering v Italian, plus excellent traction, a mighty engine and it easily walks the Speciale. The GT2 is going to be a beast, which makes me wonder why Porsche need to build a 458/650s competitor when the 911 Turbo and GT2 is as quick or quicker for a lot less cash.

About that video: it doesn't prove anything. The acceleration numbers according even to "German magazines" are not favorable to the Turbo. Eventually the two cars are on the same league but not favorable up to 200-250 km/h. Videos like these ones are just fun and nothing more.
And then do you want to speak about Italian passion? drive a Speciale, drive a 991 turbo and let me know the difference..Just my 2 cents

Its not about being the quickest, its about the driving experience. A Speciale is better on the track than 911TT and offer more thrilling experience. Just like GT2 is better track toy than 911TT.

We only have one 200-250 kph time for both cars from different sources, however both tested the cars with 1 person onboard and full tank of fuel:
6,1 s for the Turbo S (Sportscars)
6,2 s for the Speciale (Quattroruote)

Why is anybody even debating this video? The Porsche clearly started before the Ferrari.
