X5 Performance and efficiency at the next level: The BMW X5 Performance Diesel

The BMW X5 is a mid-size luxury crossover SUV produced by BMW. The X5 made its debut in 1999 as the E53 model. It was BMW's first SUV. BMW marketed the X5 officially as a "Sports Activity Vehicle" (SAV), rather than an SUV, to indicate its on-road handling capability despite its large dimensions.
Currectly yes. But they did offer a 4.4 V8 diesel in the E65 with 330 hp and 700 Nm (245 km/h, 6.6 sec. 0-100km/h, 2115 kg)
This new I6 3.0 tri-turbo will repace it, and add some horses :)
The (E65) 745d actually has 750 Nm. :usa7uh:

Quite right, but some reviews online give 700 Nm, so I wasn't sure and posted the one with the least power ;)

It had 220 kW (299/300 hp) and 700 Nm for a short time but it was soon updated to 242 kW (330 hp) and 750 Nm. :usa7uh:

BMW 7 Series Sedan : Eight-cylinder diesel engine (745d)

Thanks buddy! I was a bit confused, because some sites give 330 hp with 700 Nm, some with 300 hp and 750 Nm, some with 330 hp and 750 Nm... :D

BTW, pretty remarkable your link...I thought those sites weren't available anymore on BMW.com, since the E65 has been replaced. I sure can't find this info if I look for it myself on BMW.com :t-hands:

The X5 triturbo will be expected on the market in end 2011/beginning 2012. The power should be a little bit higher than the estimated 354 hp - but not very much.
Regards

Andreas
