Correct. The A3 performance variants don't seem to have the same behaviour where power begins to be transmitted to the rear of the ECU detects that the car is on the brink of getting out of shape.I don't think there is such an issue with the AUDI A3/S3/RS3. In both cases the electronics send the maximum amount of power, that can be handled, to the front wheels, with the difference, that with the FWD the excess power is cut, while with the AWD it is being sent to the rear axle. The front axle in both cases is equally loaded (with the AWD the additional weight goes to the rear axle) so I don't expect any noticable change in the front axle road behavior.
However the M135i is BMW's first performance car with front wheel biased AWD. I expect them to tweak the software for LCI.
