DB11 [Official] Aston Martin DB 11

I don't understand how they could have thought that an Aston having the same infotainment would be a problem. He's right that was a silly agreement all to falsely protect Mercedes. They should have had MBUX from the start.

In every relationship there is one party who needs the other party more than they need them. Aston couldn't afford to develop new drivetrains. Mercedes offered them a V8, Gearbox and ECU pairing.

Merc probably also said, hey, in the deal, we could chuck in an MBUX. Strapped for cash, Aston said yes, saving themselves tens of millions in developing, building and maintaining their own homegrown Infotainment. They should have done what Volvo did years ago, work with Google!

Agreed. That being said I'm laughing at Stroll's quote in the article. He acts if offering outdated infotainment or features has stopped Aston at any point in history, even at very high price points.

This car still looks as good as the first day it was unveiled and that V8 sounds amazing, I hope the DB12 is going to be an even more desirable GT and it looks like it will be.
