PleasefeelfreetoBlogaboutthis... edition.

The Paris Motorshow "Mondial l'automobile is almost upon us things have moved quickly this past year that Geneva seems it was only yesterday and Frankfurt just last week.
As my time is taken up with Paris and currently on late nights and through the night in order to get everything out there for their Paris debuts.

2002 : Perspective.
The next generation BMW 1er Coupe and Cabrio.
Why the next generation 1er Coupe and Cabrio will form an even greater link to the 2002 in design definition?

(Next time) "We will have all the time in the world...."
Discussion on the second generation BMW 1M Coupe.

The Sport Activity Vehicle...
The third Generation BMW X5...
Two generations on and still the leader in every category. And why the third generation aims to remain at the top.

i-Project a very exciting (small) world.
The BMW Megacity Vehicle and the new BMW Compact (With Front wheel Drive).

Why the BMW megacity Vehicle will be the decades most significant vehicle?
The new BMW Compact...
Blasphemy or destined to be a disaster?
BMW are about to prove you wrong.

Ghost Busting...
Rolls-Royce begins the expansion of the Ghost after the "baby" Rolls-Royce breaks sales records...

... new BMW Compact (With Front wheel Drive).

contrary to many i'm gung ho on this; if BMW can make the most fun to drive ever fwd i'm all over it. much as i liked my recently departed 128, i'd like a more efficient(> 30mpg highway), lighter vehicle, with a more driver-forward position. in other words an evolved(or better if you will) Mini with more conventional styling.

The Third Generation BMW X5 hmmmm.. i wonder how it will look like since Scott said that it will be the first production car that carries BMW's new design language. Maybe some rendering Scott, to give us a clue???

It has to be something revolutionary this time, as the current X5 is the one that started the current interior design, of the way the shoulder lines flow in the side profile, with the door handles on them.

I´m thinking in something more angular, with the LED tech of the VED Concept for the headlights, thinner head and rearlights, smaller glasshouse, and a shoulder line more in line with the new 3 Series one, more curvy, or even more diagonal, not that straight.

I'm thinking the same. The FWD BMW will have to beat the MINI in every way... or at least sportyness, driver focus and driver involvement.

actually what i meant was that it should far exceed the current Mini, not necessarily the next-gen on which it will be based; if they're both fantastically fun to drive that'd be ok with me although i'd much prefer a more conventional look. do you think then that the bmw iteration should/will come in at a higher price point and be more capable/more premium or just be oriented differently but be similarly priced?
