Cadillac to launch nine new models in five years

Cadillac President Johan de Nysschen has revealed plans to launch nine new models in China over the next five years.

The company declined to elaborate but de Nysschen said “Cadillac is in a strong position to address the rapidly rising demand for luxury vehicles in China, a country in which we have a strong foundation given GM’s long-standing strength here." He added, "By offering a broad lineup of products built in China for local consumers, we are intent on being at the forefront of the next stage of the luxury segment’s development.”

While the company was coy on specifics, Cadillac is working on a variety of new models including the CT6, an SRX successor and a range-topping CT8 or CT9. The automaker is also rumored to be developing two new crossovers and an entry-level sedan to slot below the ATS.
