I don't know how it was possible to spoil the MINI design, but they succeeded https://www.motor1.com/news/660484/2024-mini-cooper-spied-undisguised-photoshoot-la/

Apart from the tail lights I have no problem with this. I'm also happy MINI have removed the SUV like black cladding from around the wheel arches and since it's an EV the fake bonnet scoop.

It's just a pity MINI aren't building a 5 door version of this car.

Is it electric only? No way they are going to ditch the ICE version.

Electric is all new AFAIK, the ICE is a development off the old one. Coming both.

Like the next 3er both NK and CLAR

Hope it has that amazing OLED screen inside, like that concept we saw earlier.
I expect that the AceMan interior spied will be very much the new generation signature.
It's also getting a version of "iconic glow" probably named after a Yankee candle or something.

I liked the black cladding. It kind of took away the visual weight of the first generation. Look at those Red Bull Can MINI's to see why.

Well finally a proper leak, flashy with license plate and totally clean, filming the promo?

I don't like the engine bonnet with the normal fenders. Looks like a first gen Lupo.
Changing the clam shell, removing the black plastic wheel arches, removing the chrome around the lights, (I don't know if I like all of that, as the previous one that looked small but luxurious and sporty), are small gadgets so that through from the new shut lines we perceive a new design, more "modern" or different at least, in a car that must be evolutionary because it is iconic, that is what they can afford
I think it loses a bit of its "Retro Englishness"

The sheet metal from the waist down is also all new, subtly,

It might be the first Mini that I like.
It could be a VW Mini in its simplicity.

The next step will be to get rid of the round central display. Waste of space and an eysore.

A lot more people order them with the black pack which removes the chrome, I kept the chrome on mine because I didn't want an all black car. When I originally ordered it I went with moonwalk grey and all the chrome blacked out.

I'll put the hamster's food in the center of the wheel to see if he finds it

MINI

Mini (stylized as MINI) is a British automotive brand founded in 1969, owned by German BMW since 2000, and used by them for a range of small cars assembled in the United Kingdom, Austria, and the Netherlands. The word Mini has been used in car model names since 1959, and in 1969 it became a brand in its own right when the name "Mini" replaced the separate "Austin Mini" and "Morris Mini" car model names.
