News from German AMS

-new RS4 will feature 4.2 V8 bi-turbo with FSI(same technology as in forthcoming RS6, just V8...)

I would definitely like to see that. That would be hell on wheels!:icondrool

-R8 with V10 will feature 520hp NA engine, intro mid 2008

Interesting, that must mean the Gallard gets a facelift and more like 600hp to keep it distance? I guess the RS6's 579hp is too much for the R8, meaning the Gallardo would have to have like 700hp to distance it which is more than the Murcielago!

-new S4 will feature new 3.0 V6 bi-turbo FSI

I can't see this, going back to a 6-cylinder for the S4.

Sounds right on the money.

-there will be TT with 350hp 2.5L R5 turbo FSI

Gonna be a hellish car, but the sound is going to be awful.

Where is the new 3.6L V6 with 324hp that we've been hearing about in the new A4?

I'm surprised the S4 is going back to 6 cylinder power, I'm sure in the American market this won't go done well.

It looks as if the new RS4 will go crazy on power, if it needs a bi-turbo, although RS has always given huge power outputs.

Good to see the TT is getting the power it always deserved, I would love it if Audi made an RS version!

I think they are a bit too optimistic with the 520hp figure. That means that the facelifted Gallardo will have to have atlest 560-580hp for the hierarchy to be intact. If you ask me around 480hp is adequate for the R8 which is already one hell of a performer with 420hp.

Audi

Audi AG is a German automotive manufacturer of luxury vehicles headquartered in Ingolstadt, Bavaria, Germany. A subsidiary of the Volkswagen Group, the company’s origins date back to the early 20th century and the initial enterprises (Horch and the Audiwerke) founded by engineer August Horch (1868–1951). Two other manufacturers (DKW and Wanderer) also contributed to the foundation of Auto Union in 1932. The modern Audi era began in the 1960s, when Volkswagen acquired Auto Union from Daimler-Benz, and merged it with NSU Motorenwerke in 1969.
