New to Germany and just bought an A3 2001, 1.8t. Germany seems to have some strict laws regard car modification, and all modifications need to be checked my a mechanic and then reported to TUV (sorry umlaut not working on my mac).
Any relivant information on car modding would be helpful, or at least pointing me in a direction. Please don't say google.
The first mod I would like to do is upgrade my front disc breaks to larger ones, from an r32, or something similar as long as it uses the oem calipers.
Also, I would like to chip tune in the future, 2.5 turbo back exhaust system, Front mount Inter cooler, and bigger turbo, when I save up the money.
I would like to know, what are the places called where you take your car to get it certified after modding, online parts shops for Europe, specifically Germany. And maybe laws I should try not to break.
