I prefer this movie for pure entertainment purposes, I really did enjoy seeing it, and I would be willing to see it again at a Theatre. I liked the storyline, it gave enough information to give people a basic understand of the setting and social background. This show was based off of a series called Firefly, which I haven't ever seen, but I never felt lost in the movie.
The characters were all unique in their own way and fit well as a crew, I liked the long shot where they sort of introduced each crew member, cinematic props to them. The action was well paced and spread out, but there were some cheezy scenes that diluted the romance, but I didn't come to see romance, I came to see destruction and violence in a preferred setting.
Space battles, government conspiracy, faith, some comical dialogue...well rounded imo.
