C-Class (W204) ***New C-Class Premiers in Mühldorf*** (56K Warning)

The Mercedes-Benz W204 is the third generation of the Mercedes-Benz C-Class. The W204 platform was also used for the E-Class Coupé (C207). Model codes: W204 (sedan), S204 (station wagon / estate), C204 (coupé). Production: March 2007 – March 2014 (sedan), February 2007 – March 2014 (station wagon), 2011–2015 (coupé). Model years: 2008–2014, 2012–2015 (coupé)
The AVANTGARDE interior looks really boring, dont' really like the black on black colour combination. How is the interior quality, does the silver trim feels like metal at all, and does all the interior buttons and nobs feel solid to use ?

Many people thought the C-Class interior in general looks a little "spartan". I sort of agree. I love the design and the quality is top notch, but I do feel that Mercedes could have made it a bit more "lively". At the same time, darker interiors don't look that good to me and many people. I personally prefer lighter interiors like this one:

The materials are good and the interior looks and feels solid and well constructed. The dark plasticky looking material feels very soft and is a leather-like padded material (I suppose this has advantages in the event of a crash, just like when it first appeared on the W116 Mercedes S-Class in 1972). The cockpit feels premium and the buttons are pleasing to use overall, especially the A/C controls! ;)

I am also interested to know - though Christian's previous comment was that the quality was really good, but not class-leading. I'm still quite sceptical.

You need to see it in real life, and sit on the inside and feel the atmosphere etc. It's a quality interior for sure, but a little spartan as some people said. It lacks to lively visual effect you get with the Audi A4 interior, especially in darker tones. I think most people look to much at the huge soft plastic/leathery slab on top to examine the whole interior open mindedly. :usa7uh:

Great report Wimmer. Judging my the people in the pictures you seem to have been the youngest person at the dealer. Bad sign:D

LOL :D

Not really, see my post towards ENI. There were a lot of younger people (late 20s and 30s) there, but they were mostly in the back sitting down and enjoying the "free" beer and food. :wthumb2:

It's true though, there were more old people there than younger buyers. I guess most of the younger buyers are waiting for the C-Class Sportcoupe - which has always been very popular here.

You just answered my question reguarding the interior quality of the new C-Class, thanks.. I also agree with you that the interior looks best with lighter colors. Great post and writeup Wimmer!

New C

Nothing but depressing gray and black interiors. And the wheels will be hard to keep clean with all those spokes. Weren't there ANY beige interiors? What about that new metallic red? Is it darker than Barolo Red?

I still would like to know what the front and rear wheel offsets are since I will be keeping my C320's 17" (7.5 & 8.5) AMG wheels just in case they might fit the new car.

Color?

What color is that Elegance S-OP2350? Looks like red or is that orange seen in the publicity pictures. Looks like the interior might be beige.

No beige interiors. If I were Mercedes, I would want to give the best possible impression and that means light interiors, but no, someone ordered depressing black interiors. :t-banghea

About the wheel offsets, contact MB. I'm sure that bigger rims will be able to fit, since the AMG C63 will probably get 18-19" AMG rims and these have to fit. :eusa_thin

No idea. It was from a Mercedes-Benz News magazine about the new C-Class and they didn't mention the color of this car. I think it might be some sort of Cubanitsilber or ...GOLD.

Re: Color?

You're so lucky seeing all these Cs, I haven't even seen one yet, and probably won't for a few more months.

Great pics as always, and I'm sure you had fun at the dealership!

Thanks. :t-cheers:

This experience was a lot of fun, but the real fun will come when I get to properly drive it. :D
