Its hard to believe but this wee man is paralysed from the waist down and is solely using his forearms to keep his balance and grip on the quad.

Thanks mate, I must say I am torn between him and his twin, the other does Motocross and is actually quite good so I'm a proud dad of his achievements and ability but what wee Josh is doing here to me is nothing short of heroic.

His my hero and I'm proud to call him my son because he's an inspiration to me.

You can never have a favorite kid. I don't have kids but even with my cousins I can never pick one as my most beloved. Kids these days are so brilliant in so many ways. They are truly an inspiration and we can only ruin what's already perfect by trying to intervene.

All three of my kids are equally special in their own ways but until you have one with a disability and know the hardships they have to endure it's difficult to understand how you could possibly have more of a soft point for one over the others but you do no matter how hard you try not to.

It was the case with me and my sister. I had to go through hell in my teenage years and go through several life threatening surgeries to remove the tumor in my head.
None of them was successful. My parents and especially my mother went through hell too and were witnesses of their son's painful degradation to a point they weren't sure what else they could do to just save me. My sister was put to second place for a few years. She wasn't getting enough attention for obvious reasons. She is 3 years younger than me.
My sister has some serious OCD right now because of that period I'm talking about. My mother and father forgot she sees the same they see... and it was her brother slowly dying not just their son. She didn't get enough support no matter how much they loved her. It's a tough situation and sometimes you are left with no choice but parents have to be really careful. I still carry the "burden" of my sickness but I don't want my family to carry it too.

^Mate it's very brave to share this with us but thanks for doing so. I can only imagine what you and your family have been through but I'm a great believer in personal hardships make you a stronger person and yours has moulded you into who you are today.

Life precious and it needs to grabbed at every opportunity, that's what my son is doing and I'm sure you are doing the same.

P.S. I know its the forgotten ones in the family that can suffer too, don't blame yourself because I'm sure she wouldn't want that. You two have an unbreakable bond because of what your experiences.

No one is really disabled in my eyes. You are only disabled when you disable your heart and soul.
You have a real fighter there, mate. It's my life and my views I'm sharing. I have nothing else to share

I've got three kids as well, 2 boys and a girl, I love them all equally but it's hard to not have a softer spot for one of them, which is my daughter she's my youngest.
