My Audi R8 V8

APR ECU tune done on Friday.
They promise a power increase of up to 444HP/450PS.
I'm not going to dyno my car and I really don't care that much but I can already feel the engine being much more responsive at low rpm and there's even a slight push at high rpm. It's great value for money and I even got a discount on it.
I don't think it will affect the reliability of the engine... it just feels perfect now and YES, I'm keeping it all NA!

Congrats!

Which one do you prefer ? R-tronic or E-gear for a DD ?

To be honest I have no experience with the original Gallardo where owners had lots of complaints about the transmission kicking at low speeds. The LP was OK for me even at low speeds as I do have a more dynamic style of driving at any speed.
The R8 V8 is surely smoother with it's R-tronic but I do think that's a result of the transmission having to deal with much less torque. The E-gear is obviously more performance oriented and suits a real supercar much more. In my opinion there's a lot soul in a supercar that doesn't feel OK when not driven hard or at least in a more dynamic manner :)

Class looking mate, congratulations. Beautiful colour and who cares if someone says you bought the wrong transmission because you are the one driving an R8 which in my opinion is still one of the prettiest sportscars ever.

Thanks for the kind words, mate! That particular color combo, the old headlamps and the standard wheels are making it look so beautiful and timeless... a modern classic, indeed! Tho I'd prefer a manual but as I've already mentioned several times... the deal was too good to just walk away :)

The car has been perfect and I've already done 2.000km. on it.
The APR ECU tune made the engine just PERFECT.
The transmission is great... I'm missing the manual tho.
It's my first ever V8 and it's a completely new owner experience for me.
I had and still have 4 cylinder cars.
I had many I6s, most of them BMW diesels and one 1M.
I had a BMW V10 and also a Lambo V10 and I must admit that V10s are probably my favorites as they are really rare and feel truly exotic... ohhh and that sound
Now that I have a V8 car only a V12 is left... yes, a W16 also :D
H6 would be nice, but that will have to wait. A V12 would be my choice for my next "family" car but brand new ones are too expensive and that will have to wait too. I find W12s nice too and they sound amazing... too expensive again.

In a differenty league as in a V8 league but surely a downgrade from my last car tho much cheaper :)
It's like driving the little sister of the LP and that's a great thing! :)
