Australia's main performance car magazine, Motor, have just released their Performance Car of the Year 2007.

1st of all the car has not arrived in the country yet, it will be sometime early next year, and 2nd of all Ferrari Australia rarely let their cars to be tested by the local magazine on local roads. In fact, both Wheels and Motor have not done any local road test on any Ferrari for as long as I can remember.

This I would like to know as well, maybe they are already selling every single car they can get their hands on, so there are no spare car for press duties. But seriously if both Porsche and Lambo can do it, why not Ferrari

It's something which is mutually expected with Ferrari around the world. Even EVO has had their fair share of troubles trying to get test vehicles from Ferrari. For instance, when EVO conducted their 2006 COTY, the magazine had to rent one (an F430) from a local loaner because Ferrari would not lend out a car.

I have had long since wondered if Ferrari is actually afraid of negative press. They're so strict on not only loaning cars out to magazines, but conducting performance tests, one really does have the wonder what the big deal is.

Why 13 cars? Why not 10?

Because they have 13 cars in the selection, and they rank every car. I am surprised the Porsche Boxter S is included. It isn't the newest car there, I have no idea why it was on the list.
