A Mk1 Golf upgraded 80's Audi 2.2 Throttle Body. Direct upgrade for any 1.6/1.8 8v EX GTI Mk1 Golf/Scirocco/Jetta.
I've had this refurbished and with performance upgrades.
Ported and Polished Audi 2.2 Quattro Throttle body to fix an Mk1 Golf Inlet manifold. This Throttle Body will fix straight without any modification on to mk1 golf 1.6 or 1.8 GTI Inlet manifold. To optimize the performance you will have to make the inlet manifold port where the TB fits larger to help with air free flow. This throttle body will increase performance up to 10-12bhp.
This Throttle body is Highly Polished inside, I like to say its AS SMOOTH AS A BABIES BOTTOM.
The ports now measure - larger 54mm from 52mm and smaller 38mm from 34mm on the polished/ported side.
Audi 42mm throttle body – Popular upgrade on k-jet fuel injection larger throttle body fits directly on to any 8v GTI existing inlet manifold.
