I was up biking in the Mühldorfer "Ghetto" area (where the train station is) and found this little junkyard in the midst of abandoned buildings. I never knew about this place! Here are the pics.

Old BMW 5-Series. A real shame, it was a 6-cylinder too! 525i perhaps?

Next to the BMW appeared to be an old Peugeot 309 sedan. Check out the burned battery.

The last pic I took. Wanted to take more, but that kid and his brother were annoying as hell and wanted me to take shots of them with the cars. :t-crazy2:

Christian, isn't this an Opel Ascona?

:t-cheers:

Nope, it is a Peugeot 309 sedan, clearly. :t-cheers:

BTW, is that BMW an old "M5"? I am thinking that it could be a 525i or 528i because the old M5 would probably have come standard with an RPM gauge instead of the clock that can be found in place of the RPM gauge.

Wimmer you're always trawling around in junkyards eh? :D j/k

I love walking around junkyards and checking out old or new cars that ended up here. It's sad and romantic at the same time. Plus, they make for excellent pictures and photography practice. For the next Automotive Photo Competition, I am going to submit a car I photographed at the bigger Mühldorf junkyard. :usa7uh:

Thanks! But they do look similar, at least from the front...

MINI

Mini (stylized as MINI) is a British automotive brand founded in 1969, owned by German BMW since 2000, and used by them for a range of small cars assembled in the United Kingdom, Austria, and the Netherlands. The word Mini has been used in car model names since 1959, and in 1969 it became a brand in its own right when the name "Mini" replaced the separate "Austin Mini" and "Morris Mini" car model names.
