Mini concept car : Mondial l'automobile paris 2010.

Ugh, another MINI concept car. Please tell me that this is the new road-going interpretation of the Prodrive WRC car with 3 clever diffs, 190 kW, wheel arch flares and a bazooka of an exhaust.

Rather that than some schmaltzy, faux-lifestyle fashion accessory brought about to further banish the spirit of the original into oblivion.

The way it's going it shan't be long before we see a 6 seater MINI Peopleman.

If it is anything like previewed, very good.

But as that is already known, it has to be something else. Maybe the WRC?

;) You should all go out and test drive one because YOU WILL end up wanting one...

I'm afraid you are right :-) Problem is, if I'm going for another MINI, it should be one that is lighter than the current one and without the current car's engine quality issues.

I'm however certain that a drive in the Countryman will make me forget about this... I really regret not having the time to go to the pre-release driving event.

 that would be fantastic! but it's more realistic we will see the JCW countryman or the WRC countryman or the countryman cooper SD - compare to this:

or perhaps the production version of the beachcomber or a countryman MINIMALISM hybrid? i think it's to early for the countryman 3door or the megacity MINIssimo. but who knows? ok, scott knows and he is keeping us in suspense :D

The Concept stars are the trio of MINI E-Scooters, but also the launch of the WRC Programme.

The WRC car actually portrays a strategy for a performance road car variant of the Countryman down the line.

The MINI design night could showcase something visually on the projection screens , as it is a similar idea to the BMW design nights held previously in Munich and Beijing. So what will not be shown live could be seen on screen.

The new Small MINI Concept based on the shortened R56 platform will be shown next March at Geneva. They are also preparing a MINI Sport Activity Coupe Concept for later in 2011.
The next all new production car , not variant will be the MINI Coupe.

Interesting. This speaks volumes for BMW AG's intentions to mature Mini from a niche brand to a full fledged manufaturer with a diverse portfolio of cars.

The electric revolution is near and electric cars are hot on the menu. Bicycles are ever so popular and are enjoying electric assistance, but to be frank, bicycles with electric motors are more designed for people to lazy to pedal than those who want to travel across the city quickly.

Here in London it's uber popular to own a fixed gear bike, in fact I have friends spending £750-1500 on fixed gear bixes with various customised accessories and parts and to are thousands of young people in London. It's crazy how all of a sudden fixed gear bikes became a trend. Given the amount that are spent on these vanity bikes, Mini could most probably score hundreds of thousands of e-moped customers. Price them at £3500-5000 and young adults will flock to dealerships, even more so some households might buy one to keep as an extra means of transportation.

WOW, those Scooters look HOT. MUCH better than all those retarded Vespas I see around me 24/7.

If Mini is really going to make one, I think I'll be getting one for the city transportation. I despise Vespas.

MINI

Mini (stylized as MINI) is a British automotive brand founded in 1969, owned by German BMW since 2000, and used by them for a range of small cars assembled in the United Kingdom, Austria, and the Netherlands. The word Mini has been used in car model names since 1959, and in 1969 it became a brand in its own right when the name "Mini" replaced the separate "Austin Mini" and "Morris Mini" car model names.
