Mercedes C-class Vs. Audi A4 (help us choose)

Dam this is very very cool, I would be checking it everyday to see the progress. It would be fantastic to have the car all for yourself for a few weeks but I guess nothing can be timed to perfection.

I've checked it 4 times today already. :t-rot:

Wow production has jumped forward to the 2/7/08 and ETA at the dealer 3/9/08!

If they manage to get it here by the 28th or 29th of August I'll have it for a whole weekend! :eusa_pray:eusa_pray:eusa_pray:eusa_pray:D

That might come true, who knows you still have sometime before the production date, so there are still some chances of receiving an earlier production slot.

I saw a new 3.2 V6 A4 in the city yesterday, red, 18inch star spoke wheels with those LED lights. The car looks better than the basic A4 I saw 2 weeks ago, thanks to the bigger wheels and those headlights, which looks a lot better out on the road than in the photos. The car looks good, but it doesn't look anything special or new, it doesn't catch your attention like the new C-class.

The E90 3series is something I have sat on, surely doesn't hop over bumps, haven't sat or drove new C or A4, so can't really compare, but I'd say the E90 ride is kinda firm, but nothing uncomfy about it, perhaps the stock shocks are harder than the others..

No, the runflats make the ride firmer. Bmer tried to make the suspension as soft as possible because if the runflats. yes it rides well but compared to the merc or audi its a bit on the firmer side

Hop may be a an exageration, but it doesn't smother the bumbs like the C.

Having seen both the new A4 and C Class in real I have come up with one conclusion.

The C Class looks special and feels special.

The A4 looks boring and feels boring...

Audi missed the boat with the new A4 in my own opinion. Certainly not a good enough effort for a company that exhibits the plan to be the number one brand in 2015. No way in well can they do that without toppling the executive sports sedan market.

HERE IT COMES!!!

Very excited!

Picked it up and the car is incredible! FAR FAR FAR better then my A4 in terms of interior quality and feel. It really looks/feels PREMIUM.

Need to put on more K's to really compare the two, but the ride quality and refinement of the C is exemplary.

Should have some pics up by the weekend.
