Mercedes-Benz Style has taken the wraps off the new Garia Golf Car.

Looking like a futuristic Smart ForTwo Cabrio, the model was jointly developed with golf cart manufacturer Garia and promises to define a "new class of transport for the golf course."

On the styling front, the model has a golf ball inspired grille which is flanked by LED headlights. The golf cart also boasts a curved windshield, a carbon fiber roof, and five-spoke alloy wheels. Out back, there's a carbon fiber diffuser, a rear spoiler, and an angled golf bag holder which provides easy access to your club of choice.

The exterior styling might say Smart more than Mercedes but the cabin is a different story as it features a luxurious lounge chair which is covered in premium leather upholstery. The chair doesn't just look good as it secretly hides a refrigerator underneath the bench seat.

Once sited, drivers will find themselves surrounded by premium materials including leather, wood, and carbon fiber trim. However, the real coup de grâce is a 10.1-inch infotainment system which shows vehicle related information as well the course layout and the current score. The infotainment system also allows users to check the weather and order refreshments for delivery. Another neat feature is the inclusion of Bluetooth connectivity and hi-fi speakers which enable drivers to stream music from their smartphone.

Motivation is provided by a lithium-ion battery and an electric motor which produces up to 14 horsepower. This setup enables the golf cart to have a top speed of 18.6 miles per hour and an overall range of 49.7 miles.

The golf cart is currently a concept but Mercedes hinted Garia could build a production model if there is enough demand.
