Well, silver-coloured metal, yes... But totally out of place.
The buttons are wonderful, so old-fashioned and stylish...

What i don't like about the Landaulet is the price. 1 million euro is way too much for that car. It's really nothing more than just a Maybach 62S with half the roof modified. The premium is IMO too high and some skilled workshop or coach builder can most likely nicely convert any maybach to a Landaulet for a reasonable sum.

The Roller is the finer and more well designed car of them but the MLandaulet is more pompous and majestic of the two.

Naturally the Landulet will get slaughtered if Rolls Royce create something similar of the Phantom.

I mean you're paying a 500 000 dollar premium on this car. It's even a worse rip off than the Lamborghini Reventon.
That's right. The downside (if one chooses to consider it as such) of course is that the collector value suffers because you now have an after market modded car and no longer the real deal stock car.

But if the intended purpose is to just enjoy a drop-dead gorgeous luxury yacht of a car, the after market deal is obviously the way to go for cost conscious luxury car buyers.

Well I don't think so, aftermarket is not really like a real MM car.

No collectionnal value, no real guarantee that the product is good, no guarantee of crash-test and all that... And it is not a real Maybach Landaulet, just a fake.

Like the Reventon, the premium you pay is the price of the exclusivity, face to the "vulgar" Rolls that everybody can buy...The people interested don't care of the price, on the contrary such a price id a statute mark and the proof they can afford it. I even would say it would not be as attractive for them if it costed the price of the Rolls.

So what you are suggesting is people will buy this car because of its status as the most expensive ....rather than the best.

I like the MM Landaulet, but I honestly think coolraoul is overstating its significance when he says this car changes everything about the image of Maybach ......because it simply does not. There is no doubt about it, the Maybach Landaulet is a rare and special car, but it still doesn't have the presence or style of the Phantom. I know the Phantom is brash and showy, but it still has something special that the Maybach lacks.

My vote goes to "Rolls-Royce", I think Maybach is heading to another step-back :eusa_thin...!

I can't call it. Honestly, for cars of this stature, WHY are they dropping to this stage? Whoopi Goldberg should start wearing makeup, and Hillary Clinton should dress up in a mini skirt. See my point? There r enough cars out there to FIT the convertible description, some things should stay true to themSELVES. (Sigh). Remeber when someone you truly admired did something that even you felt embarrassed? For them? Yeh, it's like that. No no no...
