Martin Winterkorn confirms New Models including 4 hybrids for VW Group

At the Volkswagen Akteingesellschaft Annual General MeetingMartin Winterkorn CEO of Volkswagen Akteingesellschaft confirmed VW & Audi are developing a hybrid Touareg & Q7, he also confirmed Polo & Golf will also have a hybrid drive in the near future.

Martin Winterkorn said:
You can be sure that we will have a smaller hybrid system in the very near future for our compact class models, such as the Golf and Polo

As early as next year, we will be launching a hybrid version of the Audi Q7 and Volkswagen Touareg in the market.

Also Mr. Winterkorn hinted at a sub Lupo sized car in the A000 class.

Martin Winterkorn said:
We are also in the process of developing an "A Triple 0" model, in other words a subcompact for our customers in urban conurbations and inner city districts that will also meet mobility requirements in emerging markets such as India and China.

Fuel efficiency, attractiveness and affordability are the attributes we want to build into the DNA of this vehicle.

As for SEAT the new Altea Freetrack will be launched late this year and the new SEAT Family Sedan will be released next year.
