Lamborghini continues to do something it was incapable of doing in the past – remain profitable. Under the ownership of Audi, the brand has gone from strength to strength and last year sold just over 2000 cars. Figures for the first half of this year have just been announced and it’s more good news. Car sales have gone up to 1343 units, with the majority of them being the new Gallardo Spyder. The recently released LP640 also did well, doubling sales of the Murcielago over last year, and early results for the new Superleggera coupe are also promising.

Revenues were €222m (US$304m) and these turned a profit of €18.1m (US$25m) for the Sant’Agata Bolognese company. All up, Lamborghini should be able to surpass 2500 cars sold this year, and even though this is less than half of what the Ferrari boys across town do, it’s still very impressive for a company that has been on the brink of bankruptcy for most of its life.
Usually we’re not ones to pay much attention to financial issues here at Motor Authority but healthy sales and profits mean more supercars and wild designs. Look out for our review of the Gallardo Superleggera tomorrow.

Great achievement, thumbs up for Lambo :usa7uh:...!

And IMO, the biggest share in this mark, belongs to "Gallardo" :eusa_clap...!

Wow, first Bentley now Lambo. Fiat's Maserati has just done the same. The small brand revival is in full swing, thanks to their parents properly investing in them.
