KTM KTM electro-three-wheeler on the horizon


KTM is an Austrian motorcycle, bicycle and motorsports brand which is co-owned by Indian manufacturer Bajaj Auto and Austrian manufacturer Pierer Mobility AG. It traces its foundation to 1934 as Kronreif & Trunkenpolz Mattighofen. Since the late 1990s, it has expanded into street motorcycle production and developing sports cars – namely the X-Bow. KTMs CEO Stefan Pierer is reporting to have a electro-three-wheeler currently in development. its purely developed to be used in cities, therefor its only going to be powered by a 22HP electro engine. The two seater is expected to cost around 6000-10000 euros.
Pierer also reports that GM is extremely interested in their new concept.
Before the release of the electro-three-wheeler they are going to put a electro motorcycle (in about 1,5 years) on the market .

AVL
their goal is to have 100000 e-cars on austrian streets by 2020
other partners are responsible for the charing network infrastructure
the whole project is said to cost 5 billion euros
