@Design FIRST - were you a previous member here?
Hi, Sunny. Not a previous member, but a frequent "lurker" more recently. I appreciate much of the input pertaining to all things regarding automotives (especially design related topics and industry news) and prefer to disregard the rest. I hope to be able to contribute constructively.

Asked cause usually new members start slow in a new setting. You seem to have gone 0-100 rather quickly. Not that anything wrong with it. So welcome.

Welcome mate. Really enjoying your contributions so far.

As mentioned, I have been lurking here a bit before joining the member community. I suppose that I am simply an enthusiastic blabbermouth (is there such a thing as a blabber"typist") and enjoy sharing my views on many things that concern automobiles, the industry, classic and historic cars and so forth. Not that I am particularly knowledgable, specially when it comes to the nitty-gritty technical aspects. But I'm inquisitive and eager to learn new things about what is and may be in the pipeline of various manufacturers. I'm looking forward to good as well as good spirited, educational discussion.

You sound just like Jimmy and seem to know your way around.

Excuse me, sir. The structure of this forum is quite intuitive and user friendly, so navigating it is not at all difficult. Even for newbies. I'm afraid that I do not comprehend your other reference pertaining to a "Jimmy". Hopefully, he isn't (or wasn't) a jerk LOL.

Welcome!
Nah, Jimmy was one of the best members I've seen post on this forum so take it as a compliment.

This is clearly "Jimmy". The ubiquitous and frequently misused inverted commas will confirm that soon.

I'm on something like my fifth persona, so I'm not going to comment. 😳

Apparently, this "Jimmy" must have made an impression. My suggestion would be to keep things all about cars. I imagine that all else would seem a bit out of place on a forum such as this. Much appreciated and cheers anyway.

That's exactly what Jimmy would have said.

Jimmy was a gentleman and brought his great level of enthusiasm of all types of cars, including classics from the 50s/60s etc. to the forum. Certainly one of the members who is missed.

Welcome @Design FIRST nice to see your posts and enthusiasm in cars like all of us. Any car brands you fancy or just like many brands?
Hi Rolf. No, actually no specific brand preferences. Being as design oriented as I am, I see many interesting designs coming from a larger variety of manufacturers. I'm not necessarily "Germancentric" (is that a real word ?) and I appreciate some of the more recent design exercises presented by Polestar, Volvo, Aston Martin, the Hyundai Group, BYD, Stellantis, Renault and several more brands. I'm interested in cars in general, regardless of whether they be sedans, estates, GT or sportscars, hatchbacks, SUV and crossovers. Also regardless of whether they be ICE or BEV cars. New cars and classic vehicles. Not such a big fan of hypercars though.
