XE Jaguar XE To Debut at 2011 Geneva Auto Show

The Jaguar XE (X760) is a front engine, rear- or all-wheel drive four-door compact-executive saloon manufactured by Jaguar Land Rover and marketed under their Jaguar marque for model years 2016–2024 — across a single generation. The successor to the X-Type, it was designed by Ian Callum and launched at the October 2014 Paris Motor Show. Production of the XE ceased in mid-2024.

The next new Jaguar won't be a sedan. It will be small sports cars called the XE, and a concept version will debut at the 2011 Geneva Auto Show -- 50 years after the debut of the original XKE, you know, the E-Type. The above image isn't the actual car, of course, but a rendering we dug up of what a small open-top Jag concept could look like with the automaker's current design language.

Jaguar's new XE will be based on a shortened version of the all-aluminum architecture for the next-generation XK coupe and convertible, which are expected to grow in size to give them more legitimate 2+2 capability.
