According to reports out of the UK, the driver of a first-geneartion Audi TT is in the hospital following an accident at 2AM this morning local time in Suffolk. The three occupants of the house escaped unscathed though the driver was taken to the local hospital following the accident.
A neighbor Keith Shales stated to the Sun.co.uk, “When I got there and saw the car through the hole in the hedge I thought that looks serious.
“I’ve seen photos of cars going into people’s houses before but from the pavement, through the bushes and the cars behind it – it was like a launch pad – it must have been for him to get that high.
“I reckon he must be about four feet off the ground, I’ve never seen anything like it.”
A structural engineer has been called in to assess the house and police are currently investigating the cause of the crash, though it appears a B7 Audi A4 Avant was also victim amongst other cars visible in photos from the scene.
Thanks Jalopnik for the tip and @RJPeastaugh for the pic. See more, higher resolution photos of the crash site along with pics of the TT being removed from the house via the story from the Sun.co.uk.
